Trimble has released new firmware for its GFX Series displays. This firmware fixes numerous bugs and adds some features as outlined below:

GFX-1060: Firmware Version 15.20.000.19.4

New Feature Highlights

NAV-960 Guidance Controller Support

PTx Trimble’s next generation high performance GNSS receiver and guidance controller - the NAV-960 - is

available for ordering now.

Firmware v15.20 is required to support the new NAV-960 guidance controller.

Centimeter Level Augmentation Service (CLAS)

Available for testing and evaluation in regions that support CLAS (Japan).

Contact your PTx Trimble Reseller Manager (RM) for details to download the CLAS license.

System Enhancements

    • Implement measurement values are now displayed to the third decimal place.
    • Hitch-to-ground contact points now reset to 0 when switching between drawbar and mounted hitch types.

GNSS Enhancements

    • Improved RTX stream switching behavior (Delivery method = Automatic) to better handle scenarios where
no RTX fast stream is available.
    • GNSS summary drop down now includes IonoGuard enablement status.

Guidance/Mapping Enhancements

    • NAV-960: NMEA2000, XTE now available with XTE control comp license (RTK level corrections and Autopilot required).
    • Infill Patterns will now extend to outer boundary when using Headlands with Infill. Better usability in field to have guidance patterns available in all needed locations in varying size and shaped fields.
    • Precision-IQ Guidance Pattern: Half-Width Mode for Headlands.

The half-width mode guidance enhancement gives Precision-IQ users more flexibility in headlands when using a variety of implement sizes. This enhancement allows all operations to align the full working width of implements along the exact outer edge of a boundary.

For example: When first using a 3-meter seeder and then later using a 24-meter sprayer, the half-width mode allows the sprayer to use the same tramline as the seeder:

Feature restrictions:

      • Half-width guidance only populates for activated headlands.
      • Only assigned infill pattern will shift automatically to align with half-width mode headland.

NOTE – ISO Tramline functionality is currently only supported for ME and Horsch implements.

    • Advanced Boundaries: Allow user to Copy a boundary to maintain square headlands corner points.

Allows Users to copy an existing boundary to maintain advanced boundary (Square Headlands) corner designs. If users want to establish varying versions of headlands without modifying one set, they can now copy a boundary and set up a new set of headlands within that boundary.

Flow & Application/Remote Output/ISO Enhancements

    • ISO: Precision-IQ now properly handles implements with overlapping section widths. In previous versions, section switching was properly handled, but the section measurements were displayed incorrectly.
    • Remote Output:
      • Feature file selections are retained with the task. Users no longer have to re-select it upon resuming a task.
      • Improved trip consistency when running at slow speeds.
      • Improved targeting of polygon and line geometry with edges made up of multiple segments.

Water Solutions Enhancements

    • Quick pick design selection now available from the Water Management drawer.
    • Added the ability to edit simple plane designs from the Run screen.
